Frequently asked questions
For really even distribution and the correct gsm application we would advise to apply with a drop seeder or spreader. If you don't have either of these you can apply the grass seed by hand with the same effect just a little less control over the amount applied.
Grass seed already has a small nutrient source in the seed for germination and to develop the plant at the initial stages. Our liquid feed requires a leaf to adbsorb the nutrients so as soon as you start to see some new grasses coming up you're able to apply our So & Mo lawn feed to the area.
Germination time all depends on the condition of the soil and the weather. Most grass seed will germinate above 6 degrees however the temperature needs to be above this consistently for a couple of weeks. With good temperatures you should start to see germination of the ryegrasses in 7-10 days with the fescues typically taking around 4-5 days longer. Lower temperatures mean this could be 20 days and over.
If stored in the correct conditions which are dry, cool place out of sunlight then our seed will last for up to a year.
Certainly can. No need to use all the seed at once, simply seal the bag as best you can and keep in a dry place safe of any moisture.
