Top Dressing 70/30

A premium top dressing mix designed for both domestic lawns and professional turf applications. Comprising 70% specially selected sand and 30% loam, all screened to 3 mm and heat-treated to remove weed seeds. This blend provides excellent drainage, helps smooth uneven surfaces, and improves soil structure and seed-to-soil contact—ideal after aeration, overseeding, or to repair bumpy lawns.

No. Out top dressing is strictly a sand and soil mixture. 

Best applied during active growth periods—typically between April and October—or right after scarifying or aeration but can be done all year round.

1. Mow and scarify the lawn.

2. Spread the dressing evenly (by hand or spreader). We think the best way is to empty a number of bags into a wheelbarrow and then distribute a light dressing with a shovel onto the lawn as evenly as possible. 

3. Work it into the turf using a rake, drag mat, or lute.

4. Lightly water in or wait for rainfall

      Great service

      This was perfect to top dress and level. Lesson learnt would be to buy a few extra bags than you think you need and have a wheelbarrow as they are very heavy.
